From Friday 25th, 2018 the EU will be introducing a new regulation which will affect all companies large or small all over the United Kingdom such as Swift Digital Solutions, and this is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), along with this new regulation there will also be a new Data Protection Act (DPA)
With the new Regulation and Data Protection act coming into place very soon Swift Digital Solution promises to continue to look after our client’s personal information which is collected and processed by being up to date in the latest regulation news. Swift Digital Solutions also assures our clients new and existing that we have always followed the existing, and understood the importance of the current data protection laws, however we always believe there is room for improvement and we are currently improving our current regulations that are in place so they can meet the high standard that is expected from our clients and to meet the new GDPR and DPA laws.
Swift Digital and GDPR
On Friday 25th March 2018 Swift Digital Solutions will have GDPR in full effect but before then at Swift Digital Solutions we are updating and finalising our existing policies. Below are some of the things which we are doing:
- Updating our employee training policy, so employees at Swift Digital Solutions are up to date with the latest knowledge to help clients faster and better
- Reviewing our Data Protection act policies so that it is up to date and our clients are covered
Swift Digital Solutions at the beginning of February undertook an information audit throughout the whole company to make sure that we are GDPR compliant.
Swift Digital Solutions appointed an internal data controller Gemma Bunce, and has registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), details as follows:

- Date of Registration: 27th February 2018
On 22nd February 2018, all employees at Swift Digital Solutions completed GDPR training.
